Distilled in 2011, the Watkins Whisky Co. has been aged in hybrid casks. No GMO barrels – but casks made of staves from French ‘barrique’ (casks used to age red wine) and the heads from American (bourbon) barrels. Displays rich luxurious amber colour. 

TASTING NOTES

A distinctive malt with a nose of sweet fruit, butterscotch and banoffee pie with rich esters. And there is even a hint of rye on the crisp and chipper fruitiness o the early flavour waves that follows the delivery. Lots of heather honey at work with a rich spicey lingering palate.
